The Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) system is a web-based computer platform that contains employment and other sources of income information for individuals that participate in HUD rental assistance programs. The use of EIV, an independent third-party income verification source, is intended to better ensure that the right benefits go to the right persons.  Since the use of EIV became mandatory, Owner/Agents are required to maintain access to the system and must use the EIV system in its entirety in their day-to-day operations.  HUD’s handbook, the 4350.3, Chapter 9, outlines the requirements of EIV and now, so will E&A Team.  In this 2-hour presentation, E&A Team's Housing Compliance Trainer, Tari Bradley, will help you navigate through Chapter 9 and the EIV system.  Trainees will have:  A better understanding of the Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) system.  A comprehensive desk manual with references.  Topics will include:  Introduction to Enterprise Income Verification  EIV Data Security Requirements  EIV Reports  As a general reminder, sharing information with government entities such as the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program and Rural Development is not permitted.
